An independent UK guide

Thoughtful finds for dogs you love.

We look for the beautiful, useful and slightly unexpected things made for dogs — often by small British makers — explain why they’re worth knowing about, and send you straight to the people who make them.

Clever products. Happier dogs. We don’t sell anything ourselves — you buy direct from the maker or retailer.

What we do

We find the good things, and tell you why.

Then we send you to the maker or retailer to buy. That’s the whole idea.

  • A dog carrying a big stick along a muddy woodland path

    Chosen, not collected

A considered collection rather than thousands of near-identical listings.

  • Hands tracing a pattern onto tan leather in a workshop
    02

    Makers with a story

We lean towards independent and British businesses, handmade and personalised work.

  • A present wrapped in brown paper and green ribbon
    03

    Nothing to sell you

We don’t hold stock or take payments. You buy directly from the maker or shop.

    Only what we can check

If we can’t confirm a price, a material or where it’s made, we leave it out.

Our favourite kind of find

Personalised, for one dog in particular.

Engraved, embroidered, painted or made to measure — the presents that could only ever belong to your dog, usually made to order by a small workshop.

Just found

“I didn’t know that existed.”

The clever, new and slightly unexpected: things that solve a problem you’d given up on. All new finds

Senior Dogs & Mobility

For the dogs who’ve slowed down, and the people looking after them.

When our Staffy, Obie, lost the use of his back legs after a stroke, a wheelchair, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and plenty of determination got him walking — and even running — again. Later, steps, non-slip mats and raised bowls kept him comfortable.

  • Grip, rugs and slippery floors
  • Ramps, steps and getting into the car
  • Beds that are easy to get in and out of

Obie’s story

Obie was the dog behind Unique Dog Finds.

A Staffy with a terrible start — and then 17 years of being completely loved and thoroughly spoiled.

Obie came to us at around four months old after a very poor start in life, with a broken tail that had never been fixed and a twisted ear. He became the most loving, silly, fearless dog — and everything we learned looking after him is why this site exists.
